Our National Clinical Service Lines
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Our vision is to emerge as a market leader for behavioral and mental health services across the continuum, leveraging telehealth and other technologies to improve access to care.
Ascension Ministry Markets provide a broad spectrum of behavioral and mental health services via 5 free-standing psychiatric facilities, 15 hospitals with inpatient psychiatric beds, two residential treatment programs and 21 partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs.
CARDIOVASCULAR
Our vision is to be the committed leader in compassionate cardiovascular health through a holistic, accessible, person-centered approach across the continuum.
Edward T. A. Fry, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is the clinical dyad partner who co-chairs the Cardiovascular Service Line Excellence Council. An interventional cardiologist, Dr. Fry serves as Chairman of the Cardiology Division and Physician and CT Intervention at St. Vincent Heart Center, part of Ascension Indiana.
ONCOLOGY
Our vision is to be the nation’s leading community cancer program providing multi-disciplinary and evidence-based care for the whole person across the continuum.
Doug Reding, MD, is the clinical dyad partner who co-chairs the Oncology Service Line Excellence Council. A medical oncologist, Dr. Reding serves as Chief Medical Officer for Ascension Wisconsin in Milwaukee and currently leads Ascension's precision medicine task force.
MUSCULOSKELETAL
Our vision is to optimize quality of life and musculoskeletal function through compassionate, efficient, integrated personalized care.
James Flanagan, Jr, MD, FAAOS, is the clinical dyad partner who co-chairs Ascension's Musculoskeletal Service Line Excellence Council. Dr. Flanagan is an orthopedic surgeon and joint replacement specialist with Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Ascension's Alabama Ministry Market. He has practiced medicine for 38 years.
